Sam Brooks wins bronze medal at FILA Cadet World Championships
Sam Brooks of Oak Park and Zane Richards of Carbondale respresented Team USA at the FILA Cadet freestyle world championships in Szombathely, Hungary with Zane taking seventh place and Sam taking the bronze medal. Congratulations to both of them! Click here for USA Wrestling article.
Up next will be 2-time Junior Women's Freestyle National Champion Haley Augello of Lockport who will be competing at 46 kg/101.25 lbs. Competition for her weight class is scheduled for Friday, August 26th.
Competing in the FILA Cadet Greco-Roman World Championships for Team USA will be Matthew Rundell of Schaumburg at 46 kg, Darius Henry of Oak Park at 54 kg, and Mitchell Alexander of Schaumburg at 63 kg.
Also Don Reynolds, Vice President of Freestyle/Greco-Roman was selected as Team Leader. Congratulations to all and good luck!
