Coronavirus (COVID-19) Statement

Based upon the current recommendations provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), USA Wrestling (USAW), and the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), the following actions are being taken:
1) The Freestyle/Greco-Roman developmental season is postponed until further notice.
2) The Greco-Roman, Freestyle, Girls Freestyle State Championship, and the Cadet/Junior Second Chance National Team Qualifier tournaments are also postponed until further notice.

Currently, we are working on alternative plans to host the Greco-Roman, Freestyle, and Girls Freestyle State Championships sometime after May 1st. Any Developmental, State Championship, or National Team Qualifying event, if held, will be modified to conform with the guidelines provided by the CDC, USAW, and the IDPH regarding public gathering size limitations.

USA Wrestling Recommendation Regarding Club Practices
USA Wrestling currently recommends all club practices should be canceled until further notice.

As the COVID-19 virus spreads throughout the United States, we are monitoring all information provided by the CDC, USAW, IDPH, and the Illinois Governor's Office on a daily basis and will make adjustments to any and all USA Wrestling events held in Illinois as necessary.

While we are disappointed these actions need to be taken, our number one priority is the health and safety of our wrestlers, coaches, officials, parents, and fans of Illinois Wrestling.
